Improving & Developing
During the second year, the child continues to improve their work habits, social awareness and emotional stability.
He explores the advanced sensorial materials and begins to apply the abstract concepts learned at school to the world around him.
The child also learns phonics and may compose words using the moveable alphabet. Some children begin to read. The child’s hand continues to be prepared for writing and some children begin to practice their penmanship on chalk boards and lined paper.
In mathematics, the child progresses through concepts of the numbers 1-1000 and receives a foundational impression of the operations addition, subtraction multiplication and division. Each child continues to receive lessons in geography, zoology, botany, art and music.
